Bus-Connected Input Processor
Project status: Pre-Design Discussions. Last updated on 0000-00-00 00:00:00. File repository contains files.
Synopsis
Generic/universal input processor that accepts multiple inputs and relays control codes to output drivers via CAN
Full Description
The Bus-Connected Input Processor is a universal programmable device intended to work in concert with a suitable number of bus-connected point-of-load output drivers, with the drivers receiving and acting on commands sent from the Input Processor in response to activities on its input ports. By utilizing a data bus for commands, small-signal inputs with low current can effectively remotely control larger currents elsewhere in the vehicle.
The programmable nature of the device makes it possible to easily use it to perform complex actions such as operating all of the power windows and door locks in a vehicle.
