OSAEI Project Repository - Project ID 5
Exterior Lighting Controller

Project status: Pre-Design Discussions. Last updated on 0000-00-00 00:00:00. File repository contains files.

Synopsis

Universal control module for headlights, turn signals, side marker lights, brake and tail lights

Full Description

The Exterior Lighting Controller manages the operation of all exterior lights on a vehicle, including the headlights, turn signals, side marker lights, and brake and tail lights. Low-current switch inputs trigger high-current bidirectional switches (solid-state relays) which in turn provide high- or low-side switching without requiring changes to existing lighting wiring.

The device includes an integrated pulse generator to replicate flasher functionality without requiring an additional flasher module. Automatic headlight shutoff is also included via key position detection.
